How to sign “Father” in BSL
BSL and ASL are different languages — this is the British sign. See the ASL sign for “Father” instead
Step by step
- Hold out your non-dominant hand with just the index and middle fingers extended.
- Tap those two fingers twice with the index and middle fingers of your dominant hand — this is the BSL letter F signed twice.
Practice tip
Keep the two taps on the same fingertips and crisp; sloppy contact can look like a different sign.
