How to sign “Boy” in BSL

Family & People

BSL and ASL are different languages — this is the British sign. See the ASL sign for “Boy” instead

Step by step

  1. Extend only the index finger of your dominant hand.
  2. Brush it along your chin, moving from your dominant side toward the other side.

Practice tip

Use the chin, not the cheek — BOY and GIRL live on different parts of the face.
