How to sign “More” in BSL

Food & Drink

BSL and ASL are different languages — this is the British sign. See the ASL sign for “More” instead

Step by step

  1. Hold both hands in a closed flat shape, fingertips touching thumbs.
  2. Place your dominant hand just in front of the other at chest height.
  3. Tap the dominant hand against the non-dominant hand repeatedly.

Practice tip

Two or three taps in a steady rhythm reads most naturally; mouthing 'more' helps beginners.
